TREATMENT OVERVIEW

Reflexology

Reflexology is suitable for everyone and can have a beneficial outcome in most situations.

What is it and what is it good for?

Reflexology is a non-invasive and very relaxing therapy, which is mainly performed on the feet and hands. Massage movements and pressure are used on specific points that stimulate the reflex points.

The belief behind reflexology is that specific areas correspond to different areas in your body, and that stimulating these areas has a beneficial effect on the connected body part or organ.

Although reflexology is a complementary therapy there has been several studies that shows it’s beneficial in working alongside western medicine to alleviate conditions such as depression, anxiety, alleviate stress. It’s also used in conjunction with other therapies in pain management.

What to expect from your first session:

  • A consultation will be done where we discuss the issues, ask a few lifestyle questions and cover any other areas that may be relevant.

  • A quick cleaning of the feet/hands and checking their overall health

  • During the treatment there will be regular check-in with you about the pressure and leading questions about any possible issues that could be affecting you

  • The session will finish with some aftercare and general healthy lifestyle advice if needed.
